"With the number of food allergies increasing;
it is estimated that 4% of the school age population
in the U.S. is affected by food allergies. Teresa presents
the mothers' point of view of food allergies.  She touches
your heart and provides a personal view of a family dealing
with food allergies.  Through this education, Teresa delivers

concern for children."

"Teresa's presentations reached every single one of our staff members.  Her presentation to our administrative staff and Board of Education was so impressive that she was asked to present on multiple occasions across our district.  Teresa has also been asked to "star" in a video we hope to produce on allergies because of her wonderful presentation style and her ability to present factual and essential information in an informative and personal way."

Many children today are in schools, churches, sports and community groups with life threatening food allergies, asthma, eczema and sinusitis. How do we understand and deal with this growing population of allergic children?  It is so important for all people to understand this group of children in order to keep them safe.

     Teresa Newlands, M.S., has worked in a secondary school as a teacher and counselor.  She has a seven year old son who was born with extremely severe eczema that caused him to have endless skin infections, delayed development and social rejection.  Teresa spent 6 years researching eczema and allergies in order to find relief for her young son.  She went halfway across the country to take him to a special hospital that offered some relief.  Teresa has taken her dynamic and moving story into schools.  She has taught professional development classes to educators in order to provide them techniques for reaching and understanding allergic children.  She also has given groups a unique prospective on food allergies and how deadly they can be in children.

     Years of researching allergies, along with her background in counseling, have provided Teresa insight into this growing population of allergic children.  The moving story of her young son overcoming incredible challenges, tugs at the hearts of all who hear it.
